This past weekend a couple of guys from the XDP crew flew out to Indiana State Farigrounds for the last 4-Wheel Jamboree in the 2013 season. Even though it rained the first day the next two days proved that this was an event to go to every year. In the picture below you’ll see exactly how crowded it got on Saturday at only 10 am.
The best news of the weekend was that our own Dave Radzierez won the Freestyle Championship in the XDP Diesel Powered Monster Truck for the 2013 Lucas Oil 4-Wheel Jamboree Series! This is the first time ever a diesel powered Monster Truck has won the Freestyle Championship. We want to give Dave a shout out for winning and special thanks to his crew that made it happen.
In this image you can see Dave ripping apart his transmission to replace an input shaft as well as fixing some broken wheel bearings. This was the first event where the landing was on asphalt instead of dirt like the past ones. It certainly proved to be unforgiving on most of the trucks.
This was on Friday when Dave decided to go BIG even though it was down pouring during his run. The crowd loved this jump and kept wanting more despite the fact this was the jump that caused the damage above.
We would like to give a special thanks to the 4-Wheel Jamboree crew that made this year an eventful one and one for the books. All the manufacturers that came out to each event a special thanks goes out to you guys as well for educating our fans with the products we sell.
XDP cannot wait till next years 4-Wheel Jamboree series! Keep an eye on 4wheeljamboree.com for future news and information regarding dates to a town next to you!
This weekend the XDP Crew spent the day at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina. The Carolina Diesel Nationals turned out to be a great event with all the trucks getting to race before the rainstorm. Unfortunately Lee’s Diesel Sled Pulling event got rained out by the unexpected downpour. The fans and racers stuck around to see if the rain would pass but disappointingly the rain didn’t so the event had to be canceled.
The results of the Carolina Diesel Nationals are as follows:
“Top Diesel: Jared Jones, Montezuma IN Dragster, 16.683., 45.33 mph
Pro Stock: Wade Moody, Mechanicsville MD, 01 S-10, 42.824 sec., 27.67 mph
Pro Street: Darren Morrison, Caino GA ’97 Dodge, 9.455 sec.
Super Street: Tim Burchette, Winston Salem NC, 03 GMC 11.326 sec., 124.98 mph
Super Diesel: George Reppard, Middleburg FL, ’98 Ford, 12.004 sec., 100.29 mph
Sportsman Diesel: Trey Sikes, Hamlet NC, ’10VW, Dial-in 16.30, 120 RT, 16.416 sec” (Carolina Diesel Nationals).

This past weekend, XDP set up at the 4-Wheel Jamboree in Ozark Empire Fairground located in Springfield Missouri. We had an amazing weekend with no rain and spectacular weather to allow us to meet with our fans as well as new diesel enthusiasts. A ton of vendors showed up to this event; American Force wheels, Rigid Industries, Edge Products, Superchips, Pureflow Airdog and Mickey Thompson just to name a few. These Vendors came ready for this show with merchandise and swag prepared for everyone! With the thousands of people who came the 4 Wheel Jamboree crew did not disappoint by having a burnout competition, dyno pulls, mud bog challenge, Monster Truck rides, axle wrenching freestyle competition, show-n-shine competition, a family fun zone all on top of the Monster Truck competitions. One of our favorite challenges we saw was the Human Mud race where a number of individuals raced through the Mud Bog bare foot! The greatest highlight of the show was Dave Radzierez our diesel powered Monster Truck driver winning the Freestyle Event! We honestly couldn’t be happier with Dave winning this and of course a special thanks to Michelle Simpson for helping Dave accomplish this. With our truck beating Big Foot at the Lima 4 Wheel Jamboree and taking home the Freestyle Championship at the Springfield 4 Wheel Jamboree, I can’t imagine what “Diesel Dave” is going to win us next time! Our next 4 Wheel Jamboree with the XDP Monster truck is July 12-14 in Bloomsburg, PA at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. We can’t wait to get our crew out there to see all of our friends and supporters! The National Hot Rod Diesel Association hosted the season’s first event this weekend at Auto-Plus Raceway, Gainesville Florida. We had a great turn out with several vendors, diesel enthusiasts, and spectators attending despite the forecast which called for heavy rain and tornado warnings for that area.
It was prominent that the weatherman was not stopping these racers from going down the track or getting on the Dyno. As soon as the track dried up and the sun was shining the turbos started whistling along with tires screeching. Unfortunately only one race was able to ensue before another treacherous down pour flooded the track and called an end to the racing.
As far as the Dyno event went 17 trucks strapped up with Shane Phinney of Quincy, FL coming in first place. Shanes Chevy Duramax produced an impressive 919.2 hp and 1320 tq. Second place went to Chris Anderson of Lakeland, FL getting 765.6 hp and 1377.3 tq with his Dodge Cummins. Third place went to Frank Byrd of Milton, FL and even though he only had 744.7 hp he unquestionably got first place in torque with his Dodge Cummins producing an astounding 1535.9 foot pounds. Question is where is the Powerstroke on this podium? Hopefully at the next event we can see one.

A special thank you goes out to Jesse and Rick from MBRP, Ryan from ATS as well as Randy Cole owner of the NHRDA. XDP looks forward to the Texas Diesel Nationals in Ennis Texas where the gates open at 9am and the racing starts at 10am. Hope to see everyone there!
